As part of the RoboXR – Extended Reality Machine Tending for Industrial Learning project’s dissemination activities, we were honoured to contribute to a roundtable discussion organised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Cyprus Local network.
The event, titled “AI & Robotics – Are you ready?”, brought together distinguished experts from academia, industry, and entrepreneurship to explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence in robotics and its impact on society.
The discussion highlighted how AI is increasingly moving beyond software into real-world physical systems, shaping new opportunities and challenges in industrial automation, workforce development, and innovation.
This discussion aligns closely with the mission of RoboXR, which focuses on bridging the gap between education and industry through immersive XR-based robotics training. It highlights the importance of collaboration across sectors in building the skills and awareness needed for the future of industrial technologies.
